What to look at in a listing
Hot spring or just a large bath. All five listings mention a large public bath, but the wording is not uniform. Dormy Inn Kanazawa names a natural hot spring and a sauna. Kanazawa Manten Hotel Ekimae lists separate baths for men and women, with a high-temperature sauna and cold plunge for men and a mist sauna for women. Kanazawa City Hotel lists a jet bath, a relaxation bath, a waterfall bath, a sauna and a cold plunge. Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kanazawa MIYABI and Hotel Intergate Kanazawa mention a large bath without saying hot spring. If you want a hot spring specifically, the wording matters.
The bath score on its own. Rakuten Travel shows an average for each category, including the bath. The bath scores here are 4.46 (Dormy Inn), 4.39 (Daiwa Roynet), 4.32 (Kanazawa City Hotel), 4.3 (Manten) and 4.28 (Intergate). The overall averages are in a different order: 4.49 for Intergate, 4.45 for Daiwa Roynet and 4.41 for Dormy Inn. The review counts also differ widely, from 1,449 to 12,385, so the same score does not carry the same weight.
Gate and exit, not only minutes. Dormy Inn Kanazawa lists the east exit of JR Kanazawa Station, 2 minutes on foot. Daiwa Roynet lists the Kanazawa Port exit (west exit), about 3 minutes, and Manten lists the same west exit, 5 minutes. Kanazawa City Hotel lists the east exit at about 12 minutes. Hotel Intergate Kanazawa gives no walking time from the station, only a bus route.

If you are driving
The parking terms in these five listings are far apart. Kanazawa City Hotel lists free parking. Manten lists 1,000 yen per night, Daiwa Roynet 1,400 yen and Dormy Inn 1,500 yen. Dormy Inn gives a width limit of 1.8 m and Daiwa Roynet 1.85 m. Hotel Intergate Kanazawa has no parking of its own and points to coin parking. If you are driving, read the parking details before booking, not after you have chosen by the bath.
Bath hours are missing
None of the five listings in the Rakuten Travel data gives opening hours for the bath. If you arrive late by train or leave early in the morning, confirm the hours on the booking page or by phone first.
