This page is for people choosing an Osaka hotel because it has a large public bath, and who want to know what each listing actually says about it. It compares four hotels inside Osaka city using only listing data: the wording about the bath, the walk from the station as written, the price for one night, and the Rakuten Travel review scores, including the separate score for the bath. It contains no impressions from a stay. Hotels outside the city, such as those in Esaka, are not included.
Quick answer
- Do not choose on the words "large bath" alone. Read the listing for who can use the bath.
- An open-air bath and a sauna are listed separately from a large bath. Decide which facilities you want before you compare.
- On Rakuten Travel, look at the score for the bath, not only the overall score.
Three things to read in a listing
Who can use the bath. Some listings add a limit. The large bath at Hotel Crichton Shin-Osaka is listed as "men only", so if two of you are travelling and one is not a man, only one of you could use it. Hotel Crichton Esaka goes further and gives the men-only hours in the listing: 16:00 to 1:00 and 6:00 to 9:00. None of the four hotels compared here states a limit on who can use the bath, but silence in a listing is not proof that there is none. Check the booking page.
Open-air bath and sauna are separate. Osaka Corona Hotel lists a large bath, an open-air bath and a sauna. The Singulari Hotel lists a large bath with an open-air bath on the top floor. Hotel Fukuracia Osaka Bay lists a large bath and a sauna. City Plaza Osaka lists a natural hot-spring large bath on the top floor and mentions neither an open-air bath nor a sauna.
The bath score. Rakuten Travel shows an average for each item. For the four hotels here, the bath score is 4.42 for City Plaza Osaka and for The Singulari Hotel, 4.3 for Osaka Corona Hotel and 4.17 for Hotel Fukuracia Osaka Bay. The order differs from the order of the overall averages.

Does a large bath mean a higher price?
Not necessarily, as far as these four show. On 30 September the prices ran from 6,400 yen to 18,600 yen for 2 adults in 1 room, although all four list a large bath. We did not compare them with hotels that have no large bath, so this page cannot say whether a large bath raises the price.
Do reviews help?
Read the score together with the count. Each of the four has more than 3,000 reviews, so a single review moves the average little. Even so, the bath scores differ, from 4.17 to 4.42, and the overall average does not show that difference.
Notes on the numbers
- Prices are for one night on 30 September (Wednesday), for 2 adults in 1 room, as recorded when the Japanese article was made. Prices change by date. Always check the price shown on Rakuten Travel for your own dates.
- Walking times, exits and facility wording are what each listing says, not measured by us. Review counts and averages are Rakuten Travel's.
- Bath hours, water type, room size and check-in time are left out because the Rakuten Travel facility data does not list them, and we did not stay.
