About this article. This is an introduction based on information from the official sites and Rakuten Travel listings. The author did not stay at any of these hotels. It covers only what can be read from the listings and includes no impressions of a stay. Records of actual stays are in the separate travelogue. The author name "shiori" is a pen name used for the hotel articles on this site and is not a real person. The article is based on Rakuten Travel facility information (prices, facilities, access), and the numbers were checked against the data retrieved. The draft was made by AI and passed an automated check; then a separate AI reviewer checked the facts and the wording before publication.
This article is for readers who want to walk from the station to a hotel that has a large public bath (daiyokujo), for example on a business trip when you want to soak before bed. It compares the hotels near Saga Station using only what the listings say.
Quick answer
- Of the hotels within walking distance of Saga Station that were checked, only 2 mention a large public bath.
- The one closer to the station is Hotel Route-Inn Saga Ekimae (ホテルルートイン佐賀駅前), 2 minutes on foot from the south exit. The listing says a large public bath is available.
- No hotel gives opening hours for the bath, so check before booking if you arrive late.
Who this suits: people who want to walk from the station to a hotel with a large public bath, and people who want to soak before sleeping on a business trip.
Who this does not suit: people who want to keep one night to ten thousand yen or less (both hotels that mention a large public bath cost more than ten thousand yen), and people who want to know the bath's opening hours from the listings alone.
Hello! People who look up the bath's opening hours before pressing the booking button are, more often than not, friends. I am shiori. This time I compared 8 candidate hotels within walking distance of Saga Station using only the listings. There were fewer hotels where you can soak than I expected.
Only 2 of 8 hotels mention a large public bath
When I look for a hotel with a large public bath, I check whether the booking site's description contains the words for it. Among the 8 candidates within walking distance of the station, only 2 used those words. For the other 6, the Rakuten Travel description does not mention a large public bath, at least.
A hotel that does not say so may still have one
I want to be honest here. A missing mention does not prove the facility is absent. I did not stay, so I have no way to confirm. On a day when the bath decides the choice, it is safer to limit yourself to hotels that mention it.
No opening hours for any hotel
The hours when you can use the bath were not written anywhere in the listings I read. If you arrive late at night, please ask the hotel before booking. That is exactly what I wanted to know, to be frank.
Hotel Route-Inn Saga Ekimae (ホテルルートイン佐賀駅前): 2 minutes from the south exit, with a large public bath listed
The access field begins with 2 minutes on foot from the south exit of JR Saga Station. It also gives the bus route from Saga Airport and directions by car. Being close to the station matters, because it means a short trip before you reach a hotel with a bath.
The description lists free viewing of a pay-TV channel in all rooms, a free breakfast service and a large public bath. The content of the breakfast is not described.
The price record is 17,250 yen for 2 adults in 1 room on 21 October (Wednesday), which is 8,625 yen per person. Among the 5 hotels here, this is the highest amount. The address is 1-9-50 Ekimae Chuo, Saga City, Saga Prefecture. It has 1,573 reviews on Rakuten Travel with an average of 4.02.
For drivers, here is the parking entry as well: a multi-storey car park for 60 cars, first come first served, 800 yen per car per night. The number of spaces is limited, so the first-come-first-served point is worth remembering.
- Walk (as listed): 2 min on foot, south exit
- Listing mentions: large bath, breakfast, parking
- Price: 17,250 yen for 2 adults in 1 room (8,625 per person), on 21 Oct (Wed)
- Reviews: 1,573 reviews, average 4.02 on Rakuten Travel
Saga City Hotel (サガシティホテル): 5 minutes on foot, and the sauna is mentioned too
The description is a single line. It puts the large public bath and the sauna side by side and also mentions a rest room with a comic book corner on the second floor. It gives no opening hours and no size for the bath.
The access entry says 5 minutes on foot from JR Saga Station, and 15 minutes from Saga-Yamato IC on the Nagasaki Expressway. The price record is 14,400 yen for 2 adults in 1 room on 21 October (Wednesday), or 7,200 yen per person. That is lower than Route-Inn.
It has 3,661 reviews with an average of 3.81. That is the largest number of reviews among the 5 hotels, and some of the posted reviews mention the large public bath and the sauna.
The parking entry says 40 spaces, first come first served, and large vehicles must be reserved.
- Walk (as listed): 5 min on foot
- Listing mentions: large bath, sauna, parking
- Price: 14,400 yen for 2 adults in 1 room (7,200 per person), on 21 Oct (Wed)
- Reviews: 3,661 reviews, average 3.81 on Rakuten Travel
Compare the hotels: 5 hotels side by side with the bath mention
I limited the comparison to the 5 hotels whose price was available for the same day, 21 October. All 5 are for 21 October 2026 (Wednesday), 2 adults, 1 room, 1 night. The bath column shows only whether the description contains the words.

Notes on the numbers
Prices are the record for that stay date, for 2 adults in 1 room, made when this article was created, and they change over time. Walking times are as written in the listings, not measured by the author. Please check the map and the booking site's display before you book. Because I did not stay, nothing here is based on a visit.

Choosing only by the nearest station can lose the bath
Among the 5 hotels, the closest to the station are Comfort Hotel Saga and Business Hotel Sun City Building 1, both 1 minute on foot. However, neither has a mention of a large public bath in its description. If you decide by distance alone, the goal of soaking in a bath drops out.
By comparison, Hotel Route-Inn Saga Ekimae is only 1 minute away from them at 2 minutes on foot, and it does mention a large public bath. I made it the lead hotel in this article because both distance and the mention are present.
On a night under ten thousand yen, you give up the bath
Among the 5 hotels, only Business Hotel Sun City Building 1 was at ten thousand yen or less, at 8,000 yen (4,000 yen per person). Its description mentions that it is 1 minute on foot from the north exit, a free morning service, and that even a single room is 18 square metres; it does not mention a large public bath. The parking entry says there is space for 25 cars, with a fee of 500 yen per car per night, and advance reservation is required.
When saving money comes first, the choice is the price over the bath. Accepting that is one way to choose. I have also put together an article that lists only the cheap hotels near Saga Station (in Japanese).
For large public baths at other stations, I have also written about Hiroshima Station and Kanazawa Station (in Japanese).
Summary
- Of the hotels within walking distance of Saga Station that were checked, only 2 mention a large public bath.
- The one closer to the station is Hotel Route-Inn Saga Ekimae (ホテルルートイン佐賀駅前), 2 minutes on foot from the south exit. The listing says a large public bath is available.
- No hotel gives opening hours for the bath, so check before booking if you arrive late.
